Abstract:
Provided is an unwinder or a winder that is equipped with a cutting knife mechanism capable of cutting a web satisfactorily even when the web is being fed out at high speed.
The unwinder, which feeds out a web (51) wound in a roll to a papermaking line, and which is equipped with a cutting knife (34) that cuts, at a prescribed position, the web (51) being fed out, is equipped with a cutting knife mechanism (32) that cuts the web (51) by moving the cutting knife (34) perpendicularly relative to the web (51) without stopping or reducing the speed at which the web (51) is fed out.
