Abstract:

This update management device manages software update for an in-vehicle device in a vehicle that has a plurality of power supply states, said update management device comprising a reception unit, a determination unit, and a transmission unit. The reception unit receives, from a device outside the vehicle, first update data for updating software of a first in-vehicle device that operates in a first power supply state and a second power supply state different from the first power supply state, and second update data for updating software of a second in-vehicle device that does not operate in the first power supply state and that operates in the second power supply state. The determination unit determines whether the power supply state of the vehicle is the first power supply state or the second power supply state. The transmission unit transmits the first update data to the first in-vehicle device when the determination unit determines that the power supply state of the vehicle is the first power supply state, and transmits the second update data to the second in-vehicle device when the determination unit determines that the power supply state of the vehicle is the second power supply state.
