Abstract:
Disclosed are an upland cotton transformation event ICR24-397 and a specificity identification method therefor. The method involves: overexpressing the csRRM2 gene in upland cotton CCRI24 to obtain a transgenic cotton ICR24-397, which is cotton obtained by inserting a foreign DNA fragment between the 7000726th and 7000849th positions of chromosome A09 of a target cotton genome to replace the 122bp base sequences between the 7000726th and 7000849th positions of chromosome A09. The experiment proves that the fiber length, the specific strength, the uniformity and the seed cotton yield of the transgenic cotton ICR24-397 are not only higher than that of a receptor material, but the plant height, the leaf length, the leaf width, the number of bolls, the single boll weight, etc., are all also higher than that of the receptor material, which lays a foundation for research of the cultivation of transgenic cotton with good fiber quality.
