Abstract:
An annular recess (22) is provided in an elastic body (20) at the center, etc. of the inner peripheral surface (21) thereof in the axial direction so as to be recessed outward in the radial direction from the inner peripheral surface (21). This divides the elastic body (20) into a thin-walled section (23) which is the portion corresponding to the portion located outside the recess (22) in the radial direction and into thick-walled sections (24a, 24b) which are the portions remaining above and below the recess (22) and the thin-walled section (23) in the axial direction. As a result, in cloth piecing operation in which a load smaller than that occurring in staking operation is applied to the elastic body (20), mainly the thin-walled section (23) of the elastic body (20) is elastically deformed to absorb the load. Then, after the piercing operation, the elastic body (20) is once displaced in the restoring direction and a part of the load is released. After that, in staking operation, a load greater than that occurring in the cloth piercing operation is applied to the elastic body (20). In this process, first the thin-walled section (23) of the elastic body (20) is largely deformed to an extent exceeding the amount of the deformation occurring in the cloth piecing operation, then the thick-walled sections (24) make contact with each other or approach close to each other, and after that the thick-walled sections (24) substantially start to deform to absorb the load.
