Abstract:
Provided is a radio transceiver that can suppress the upper limit value of transmission power according to the intention of a user or the like, thereby suppressing the power consumption and hence increasing the continuous operating time and that is suitable for ensuring the "symmetry of communication". A radio transceiver uses fixture information in a "storage means" (114) to fix the upper limit value of transmission power to a lower value than the maximum transmission power, and further fixes the reception sensitivity to a lower value than the maximum reception sensitivity in accordance with the fixed upper limit value of transmission power. In this way, the upper limit value of transmission power can be suppressed according to the intention of a user or the like, thereby suppressing the power consumption and hence increasing the continuous operating time. In addition, the influence of radio frequency electromagnetic field on the human body can be weakened. Moreover, the degree of collapse of the "symmetry of communication" can be reduced.
