Abstract:
An upper (2) comprising an upper main body (20) for covering the dorsum of the foot. The upper main body (20) comprises a first layer, a second layer disposed with a gap from the first layer, and a third layer for connecting the first layer to the second layer. In a portion of the upper main body (20), a region (4) of low rigidity that is less rigid than adjacent regions is formed. In at least a portion of the region (4) of low rigidity, there are parts where the third layer is not provided. In at least a part of portions corresponding to parts which are of the first and second layers of the region (4) of low rigidity and are not provided with the third layer, a plurality of holes (5) are formed.
