Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is, in an upward pouring type teeming method for molten metal, to reduce the flow speed of the molten metal in the molten metal surface direction (vertical direction) within a mold that is being teemed, by a simple method that is not associated with reduction in productivity or increase in cost due to installation of a complex equipment, without lowering the teeming speed and without any variation under the condition in which the teeming speed varies. The shape of an inner hole (2) of a teeming tube (1) within a region from an outlet (3) provided on the bottom of a mold (4) downward along a length L is as follows. The radius of the lateral cross-section is reduced with a gradual curve downward from the outlet (3), and the curve of the radius that is gradually reduced is represented by a specific formula in the vertical cross-section passing the center axis of the teeming tube.
