Abstract:
Disclosed are an urban overhead rail transportation method and transportation apparatus. A rail (1) is arranged in a loop overhead in a city; a plurality of trains (8) and a plurality of stations are arranged along the rail; the trains run circularly along the rail and are under centralized dispatch, such that the trains can stop at respective stations in order, thus avoiding congestion. A mobile arrival rail (4) and a mobile departure rail (5) are added to the rail during operation, so that the defect of congestion caused during train operation can be alleviated, also, the danger during operation can be reduced, and the rails are convenient for boarding and disembarkation.
