Abstract:
Disclosed is a process for producing an urethane compound, which comprises reacting a primary amine, urea and/or an N-unsubstituted carbamic acid ester and an alcohol with one another in the presence of a catalyst comprising a first metal compound represented by formula (1) and a second metal compound represented by formula (2).

(In formula (1), M1 represents a metal atom belonging to Period 4 in Groups 8 to 12; X1 represents a ligand and/or a non-coordinating anion; and l represents the ratio of the atomic valency of M1 to the number of valency of X1.)

(In formula (2), M2 represents a metal atom belonging to Periods 4 to 7 in Group 3 to 5, or a metal atom belonging to Period 6 in Group 15; X2 represents a ligand and/or a non-coordinating anion; and m represents the ratio of the atomic valency of M2 to the number of valency of X2.)
