Abstract:
The invention concerns a urinal for mixed use in the home and female use in public toilets for saving potable water, and a method for collecting and recycling urine. The recycled urine can be used as nitrogenous fertilizer for agricultural crops or for conversion into potable water. The urinal is similar to a common toilet. The body of the urinal comprises a ledge (6), two siphons or outlets (1, 2) with their respective grilles and covers, an accessory incorporating a seat-reducer for children, and a fixed rear part (25) (in place of a water tank). The outlet (1) is for evacuating urine, using the minimum amount of water, to the sewer system. The outlet (2) is used for the collection of urine by the following methods: the first method leads the urine by gravity to a polygonal recipient; the second method leads the urine by gravity and through piping to a storage tank located in the first floor or basement of the dwelling; the third method leads the urine through piping and by gravity through the subsoil of the streets to a tank in the processing plant.
