Abstract:
A urinary catheter capable of stopping flow. The tail part (14) of the urinary catheter is provided with a hydrophobic flow stopping membrane (62) externally closing the inner cavity (10) of the urinary catheter, stopping liquid from passing therethrough but not stopping gas from passing therethrough. Whether the urinary catheter is successfully placed can be effectively determined on the premise that urine does not flow out of the urinary catheter and a urine outlet (140) of the urinary catheter is not contaminated, thus the risk of infection due to contamination of the joint of the urinary catheter and a drainage bag connector (5) can be relieved and avoided to the greatest extent.
