In this URL replacement system (S), a service-provider-side server system (1) is provided with: a mapping database (12) that associates and records higher order values and the higher order portion of a URL containing at least the domain name; and a first URL reply means that receives higher order values and lower order values from a user terminal (3) and replies to the user terminal (3) a URL comprising the received lower order values and the higher order portion of a URL corresponding to the received higher order values. In the URL replacement system (S), a client-side server system (2) is provided with: a mapping database (22) that associates and records lower order values and the lower order portion of a URL or a URL; and a second URL reply means that receives a URL comprising lower order values and the upper order portion of a URL from the user terminal (3), and replies to the user terminal (3) a URL corresponding to the received lower order values, or a URL comprising the lower order portion of the URL corresponding to the received lower order values and the received upper order portion of a URL.
