Abstract:
The present invention relates to an urn and, more particularly, to an urn wherein a single urn, which can be place in a columbarium niche for one person, comprises inurning portions having different sizes of inurning space portions such that partial remains of two dead bodies, such as a husband and a wife or a brother and a sister, can be contained together; the remains of a wife, a younger brother, or the like, who has a smaller physical size, can be disposed in the small inurning portion on the inner side, and a husband, an older brother, or the like, who has a larger physical size, can be disposed in the large inurning portion on the outer side, thereby resolving the difficulty of having to separately visit two places during a funeral and when paying respects; the urn is configured in such a shape that the husband hugs the wife, or the elderly person hugs the younger person, making it possible to perceive love and care, even after death, and strengthening the cherished memories; and, together with a substantial reduction in the funeral cost, the number of inurned remains per the same area of an existing columbarium is almost doubled, thereby resolving the problem of insufficient columbaria.
