Abstract:
The present invention makes it possible to detect the connection of a USB-mounted apparatus with more combinations. This USB connection detection device comprises: a VBUS monitoring unit 11 which determines whether another USB-mounted apparatus (another machine) is connected, according to the voltage of a VBUS terminal of a USB-C mounted apparatus (host machine) which is of type C and has a port type of source/host; a CC monitoring unit 12 which determines whether another machine is connected, according to the voltage of a CC terminal of the host machine and the other machine; and a port type switching unit 13 which automatically switches the port type of the host machine into a sync device when the connection of the other machine has been detected by the monitoring of the voltage of the VBUS terminal, wherein it is possible to detect the connection of a USB-A mounted apparatus by monitoring the voltage of the VBUS terminal, it is possible to perform power supply and communication by switching the port type into sync/device, and it is possible to detect the connection of a USB-B mounted apparatus or a USB-C mounted apparatus by monitoring the CC terminal.
