Abstract:
Provided is the use of a graphene oxide/butyl acrylate/silane composite emulsion as a shrinkage reducing agent for cement-based materials, which belongs to the technical field of cement-based materials. Active groups on isobutyltriethoxysilane molecules react with hydroxyl groups on the surface of mortar to form a layered hydrophobic structure, such that the loss of water in the mortar of a cement-based material is slowed down and cracking caused by drying shrinkage is avoided. Butyl acrylate can be dehydrated to form spatial network polymer fibers, which fill the pores of cement paste and consequently restrict the shrinkage of the mortar. Graphene oxide, with a large specific surface area and oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface, can provide growth sites for a hydration product and promote the formation of a regular and dense structure from the hydration product in the manner of a template, thereby ensuring the strength of the cement-based material. When blended into the cement-based material, sodium silicate can be hydrolyzed to form a silica gel, and the silica gel can react with calcium ions to form a C-S-H gel that fills the pores of a matrix, such that the early strength of the cement-based material is improved.
