Abstract:
The use of hirsutine, the alkaloid extract from uncaria, in preparation of medicaments for treating myocardial damage, especially in preparation of medicaments for treating myocardial damage caused by hypoxia and ischemia. Myocardial cells culture experiments in vitro show that hirsutine can improve the cell survival rate and promote the generation of NO; reduce leakage rate of LDH in myocardial cells damaged by hypoxia and ischemia; increase the activity of SOD; also inhibit the peroxidation of lipid, and have the effect of inhibiting the apoptosis of myocardial cells.
