Abstract:
Provided is use of sarsasapogenin compounds in the preparation of a medicine for treating related diseases caused by mitochondrial dysfunction, wherein the structural formula of the compounds is shown in general formula (I). The activity of the sarsasapogenin compounds is tested by means of related in-vivo and in-vitro models, and then a plurality of derivative compounds are accidentally found to have excellent cell protection activity, especially for a variety of indications related to mitochondria, and particularly a variety of cranial nerve cells have unexpected protection activity, and in addition, the compounds have very excellent blood-brain permeability, and therefore have potential wide application and huge value for treating various diseases caused by mitochondrial dysfunction; the defects of the use of the sarsasapogenin compounds in the prior art are overcome, and thus the compounds have important scientific and commercial application values.
