Abstract:
The present invention relates to streptococcus faecium strains from lactic acid bacteria that show new types of specific activity. These strains may be used as immuno-stimulating agents, particularly in the case of a syndrome of an immunodeficiency acquired when practising sports, as well as compensators for the immuno-depressive action of antibiotics and as hemoregulators. These strains can also be used for increasing the functional capacities and recovery ability during or after intensive and important physical efforts. They can also be used for quicker adaptation to high-mountain conditions and for treating and preventing broncho-pneumonic and viral conditions such as flu, adenovirus infections or herpes virus. These strains may eventually be used as a cosmetic for accelerating the growth of hair and nails and for improving their strength and elasticity, as well as an anti-stress or detoxification agent.
