Abstract:
An electronic device according to various embodiments disclosed herein comprises: a memory; a processor; a security module which is electrically connected to the processor; a biometric recognition sensor which can be controlled by means of the security module; and a camera. The processor is configured such that, when an authentication function of a designated application stored in the memory is executed, the processor: checks whether first bio-information has been acquired from the biometric recognition sensor by means of the security module; acquires second bio-information from the camera and checks whether the acquired second bio-information has been authenticated; and performs the authentication function on the basis of whether the first bio-information has been acquired and whether the second bio-information has been authenticated. Various other embodiments as understood from the specification are also possible.
