Abstract:
In the disclosed user-authentication system, when a terminal is requesting authentication from an authentication server, said terminal generates address information comprising: a lower-order code string that contains a first code string generated using the user ID of the user to be authenticated by the authentication server; and a prescribed higher-order code string. The terminal sends the authentication server an authentication request containing the generated address information. Upon transmission of the authentication request, the authentication server permits communication that uses the address information in the authentication request if a second code string generated using any user ID on a preset user-ID list matches the first code string contained in the lower-order code string in the address information in the authentication request. This configuration makes it possible to combine secure IPv6 address setting with user authentication.
