Abstract:
Provided is a user device in a wireless communication system having a base station and the user device, the user device comprising: a determination unit that determines the size of a soft buffer to be ensured in the user device, on the basis of the total soft buffer size corresponding to the UE category of the user device, a modulation format set for downlink by the base station, and the number of MIMO layers set for downlink by the base station; and a reception unit that stores data received from the base station in the soft buffer having the size determined by the determination unit, wherein the UE category is the UE category that includes 2 layers, 4 layers, and 8 layers as the maximum number of MIMO layers to be supported and that includes 64QAM and 256QAM as the modulation format to be supported.
