Abstract:
Provided are a user device and radio communication method capable of appropriately detecting a radio link failure (RLF), even if a coverage extension mode is activated. A UE (200) is provided with: a CE level setting unit (230) that, when set to a coverage extension mode, sets reception quality threshold values (Qin/Qout) of reference reception power levels (RSRP/RSRQ) corresponding to CE levels; and a radio link monitoring unit (240) that performs monitoring of radio links, on the basis of the set reception quality threshold values. The CE level setting unit (230) sets a reception quality threshold value corresponding to the maximum CE level, regardless of which CE level to which the UE (200) is set.
