Provided in the present invention are a user equipment and an information transmission method, the user equipment comprising: a housing, a controller disposed in the housing, and an optical communication device, wherein the optical communication device is electrically connected with the controller; a through hole corresponding to the position of the optical communication device is provided on one side of the housing, such that the optical communication device transmits or receives optical signals by means of the through hole; positioning magnets are provided on both sides of the optical communication device, the positioning magnet being used for attracting the positioning magnet of another user equipment when the user equipment is close to the other user equipment, such that the user equipment is aligned with the through hole of the other user equipment, and the controller of the user equipment communicates with the controller of the other user equipment by means of the optical communication device. The user equipment and information transmission method provided in the present invention are capable of preventing the data sent by a user from being stolen by other equipment, thus effectively improving the security of information transmission.
