Abstract:
This user interface device 5 comprises: a sensor 52 which monitors the state of legs of an operator who manipulates a medical device; and a processor 512 which, on the basis of the monitoring results of the sensor 52, sequentially executes a status identification process which identifies the static state of the legs, a movement identification process which identifies that a leg has moved from the static state, and a determination process which determines whether the movement of the leg is a device manipulation with respect to the medical device. If movement of a leg is deemed to be a device manipulation in the determination process, the processor 512 outputs, to the medical device, a manipulation signal according to the device manipulation. If the movement of the leg is not deemed to be a device manipulation in the determination process, the processor 512 sequentially executes the status determination process and the movement determination process again.
