Abstract:
A user-side apparatus is provided with a plurality of media access control (MAC) processing units; a plurality of user network interface (UNI) ports respectively connected to the plurality of MAC processing units; an aggregation unit for aggregating a plurality of communication paths respectively connected to the plurality of MAC processing units; an optical transmitter-receiver circuit which is configured so as to be connected to an optical communication line, and is connected to the aggregation unit; and a connection unit, which is configured so as to connect the user-side apparatus and at least one other user-side apparatus in such a manner that the user-side apparatus and said at least one other user-side apparatus are connected in cascade, and which is connected to the aggregation unit.
