Abstract:

In order to appropriately perform a random access procedure in communication that uses beamforming, this user terminal, for communicating with a radio base station that uses multiple beams, is provided with: a transmission unit which transmits a random access preamble; a receiving unit which receives a random access response to the aforementioned random access preamble; and a control unit which uses prescribed resources, with which multiple beam patterns are associated, to control transmission of the aforementioned random access preamble and/or receiving of the aforementioned random access response.
