The present invention minimizes decreases in frequency use efficiency even when repeat transmission is applied in communication with a user terminal in which the use bandwidth is limited to a narrow bandwidth that is part of a system bandwidth. A user terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention is a user terminal in which the use bandwidth is limited to a narrow bandwidth that is part of a system bandwidth. The user terminal comprises a reception unit for receiving information related to a spread code, a generation unit for generating an uplink signal, and a transmission unit for repeatedly transmitting the uplink signal using a plurality of subframes. The generation unit uses the information related to a spread code as a basis to apply a predetermined spread code to the uplink signal transmitted using a part or all of the plurality of subframes.
