Abstract:
This utilization method for an existing ship (1) includes: a step in which some tanks (3) out of a plurality of tanks (3) and an intermediate hull section (5C) including part of the hull (2) in the bow–stern direction (Da) that has some of the tanks (3) provided therein are cut out, as a tank unit (31), from the existing ship (1) having the hull (2) having the plurality of tanks (3) arranged in the bow–stern direction (Da); and a step in which the tank unit (31) is arranged as a floating storage facility.
