Abstract:
The present invention relates to a UV light blocking agent containing cellulose nanofibers, and a use, as a UV light blocking agent, of cellulose nanofibers having a UV light blocking effect is disclosed. The cellulose nanofibers according to the present invention are an organic UV light blocking agent derived from a natural plant and have a non-absorbing UV light scattering mechanism, which is a UV light blocking mechanism of an inorganic UV light blocking agent, and thereby are non-toxic to a human body or skin. Therefore, the present invention can be applied as a UV light blocking cosmetic and appropriately utilized as a bio-material for an additive for a synthetic resin composition, etc. such as a film and a pharmaceutical composition for outer skin.
