Title:
UVC IRRADIATION TREATMENT CONTAINER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/004899
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] In continuous sterilization of a fluid by UVC irradiation within a container that is optically shielded from the outside, in order to markedly increase the per-unit ratio of irradiation of a sterilization/decomposition subject in the fluid by UVC energy, the depth of the fluid receiving irradiation from a UVC light source is markedly increased, and all sterilization/decomposition subjects in the inflowing fluid are irradiated with a uniform quantity of UVC energy. [Solution] In order to cause all of the fluid flowing into the container to flow out from the container with the same in-container movement time, one or a plurality of partitions comprising a highly UVC-transparent material are installed in the container at the angle of maximum reception of radiation from the UVC light source so that openings through which the fluid passes at one end of each partition, including outflow/inflow ports for the fluid, are positioned at opposite ends from each other in adjacent partitions, whereby the fluid flowing into the container flows such that a layer thereof is formed along each partition, the flows bend one after another from the partition openings toward additional flow layers and form a series of mutually overlapping flow layers extending throughout the container, and UVC is radiated through the layers.
