A V mount battery and a discharge control method. The V mount battery comprises: a battery cell (100); a BMS module (200), the BMS module being electrically connected to the battery cell and used for monitoring electrical parameters of the battery cell, and, according to the electrical parameters of the battery cell, controlling the input and output of the battery cell; an interface module (300), the interface module being electrically connected to the BMS module and used for supplying, according to a discharge voltage of the battery cell, an output voltage to an external load when connecting to the external load, and charging the battery cell when connecting to an external power supply, and the interface module comprising a DC output interface (310); and a voltage transformation module (400), the voltage transformation module being electrically connected to the BMS module and the DC output interface separately, and the voltage transformation module being used for transforming the discharge voltage of the battery cell to a target output voltage and outputting the target output voltage to the DC output interface. Since the DC output interface is arranged on the V mount battery, the present application can reduce the overall size of devices, such as cameras, photographic lamps and the like, after being assembled; in addition, the DC output interface and the battery cell are integrated so as to reduce external interferences, thereby improving the power supply stability for external loads.
