Abstract:

A vertical&sol horizontal amplitude controller for controlling the vertical amplitude and the horizontal amplitude of an image display displaying a video signal, comprising a circuit for detecting the luminance level of a video signal, a section for controlling the vertical amplitude based on the luminance level, and a section for controlling the horizontal amplitude based on the luminance level. The controller controls the vertical and horizontal amplitudes constantly without causing any variation or delay of the video signal even when the luminance level thereof is varied abruptly.
