Abstract:
An aspect provides a Riemerella anatipestifer D15-RDA-92 or D14-RDA-8 strain for preventing Riemerella anatipestifer infection in an avian species, wherein the strain has increased immunogenicity and reduced pathogenicity. A vaccine composition including the Riemerella anatipestifer strain is the first live Riemerella anatipestifer vaccine developed using a Korean strain isolate. The vaccine composition may be applied to a duck by drinking to provide high immunogenicity. Thus, the vaccine composition is effective as a preventive vaccine against Riemerella anatipestifer.
