Abstract:
A vacuum cleaner for both dry and wet applications, configured so that the vacuum cleaner simultaneously sucks solids such as powder dust and liquid such as waste liquid, separates the solids and the liquid from the sucked fluid, and extremely smoothly collects the solids and the liquid.
A vacuum cleaner for both dry and wet applications comprises: a cylindrically shaped suction chamber (15) having in the peripheral surface thereof an opening which communicates with a suction opening (14) capable of simultaneously sucking solids and liquid, the suction chamber (15) also having an upper end which serves as an upper outlet (17) and a lower end which serves as a lower outlet (18); a cyclone section (30) provided at the lower outlet of the suction chamber and tapered downward in order to collect an object to be collected; a filter section (36) disposed around the suction chamber in order to separate fine powder dust contained in flow having passed through the upper outlet; a partition wall section (31) for separating the flow which has exited the upper outlet and the flow which has exited the lower outlet, the partition wall section (31) serving as the bottom of a portion for containing the collected object which has exited the upper outlet and been separated; and a means (40) for collecting at the lower part of the body, the collected object having exited the lower outlet and been collected by the cyclone section.
