Title:
VACUUM CONSOLIDATION DREDGING METHOD, TOWER AIR-TIGHT LOADING CAISSON, AND DEDICATED WORK SHIP
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/187174
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
For large-scale dredging construction work, vacuum consolidation methods for the seabed floor are expanded and vacuum consolidation and dredging using an air-tight loading caisson with an opened bottom box-shape are performed by a series of steps. Dredged soil generation decreases with the progress of consolidation settlement. Conversely, there is a problem in loading and unloading dredged soil from the caisson due to consolidation time, drain clogging, and increased adhesion strength. In particular, the consolidation time for very soft soil with high water content is extremely long. The present invention easily solves the problem of drain clogging and loading and unloading of dredged soil by way of an air pressure control system configured from three air passages. In addition, with a consolidation system to suction a consolidation discharge face (boundary face) of the air-tight loading caisson and reverse a repulsive force and a movement (circulation) system for packed soil in the caisson, very soft soil is very rapidly consolidated and dredged by a series of steps by way of repeating consolidation by dividing consolidation discharge distances to be minimal.
