Abstract:

A nonlead organic sealing material capable of sealing at below 400°C and excelling in high-temperature strength. In particular, an organic sealing material for sealing constituent members of a vacuum envelope of an image display unit, which upon being fired, exhibits a minimum viscosity of 10³ Pa·s or below at temperatures ranging from 300°C to below 400°C and satisfies the relationship 0.99400/m₂₀≤1.00 wherein m₂₀ represents the mass at 20°C and m₄₀₀ the mass at 400°C.
