Title:
VACUUM GRIPPER AND METHOD FOR SUCTION-HOLDING WORKPIECE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/255869
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A plurality of first vacuum pads (35a-35h) for suctioning a workpiece (W) are directly or indirectly attached to a main body section (support posts 31-33). A slider (301) is configured so as to slide in the outward direction of the main body section. A sensor (305) detects an end section of the workpiece (W) when the slider (301) slides so as to project in the outward direction from the main body section while the first vacuum pads are suctioning the workpiece (W). A second vacuum pad (303) holds up said end section of the workpiece (W) by suctioning the workpiece (W) at a position to the outside of the positions where the first vacuum pads suction the workpiece (W) while the sensor (305) detects the end section of the workpiece (W) and the slider (301) is stopped.
