Title:
VACUUM HIGH PRESSURE FILLING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/013212
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A vacuum high pressure filling equipment in which a filling rate can be increased and the impregnation time can be shortened when a porous workpiece is immersed in filling liquid. The vacuum high pressure filling equipment comprises an openable/closable hermetic partition chamber unit consisting of two upper and lower split partition wall units, a mechanism for opening/closing the partition chamber unit hermetically, a vacuum suction opening and a pressurization opening provided for the partition chamber unit, a liquid tank arranged in the partition chamber unit and containing the filling liquid, a holder for the porous workpiece arranged in the partition chamber unit, and an elevator for moving the filling liquid in the liquid tank and the holder for the porous workpiece relatively in the partition chamber unit in order to immerse the porous workpiece in the filling liquid in the liquid tank and then lifting the porous workpiece. The mechanism for opening/closing the partition chamber unit closes the partition chamber unit hermetically by bringing the upper and lower split partition wall units into hermetic contact with each other and opens the partition chamber unit by separating the upper and lower split partition wall units. A composite material, e.g. a metal impregnated with lubricant or a casting impregnated with thermosetting resin, can be obtained using the inventive vacuum high pressure filling equipment.
