Title:
VACUUM PUMPING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1998/005869
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A vacuum pumping apparatus which can stably and surely store water in a water reservoir and is highly effective in saving of electric power. The vacuum pumping apparatus essentially comprises a Geissler tube (31) serving as a vacuum indicating means and provided on the top surface of a vacuum pumping reservoir (2), in which an intake pipe (22) is provided, and a vacuum pump (1) connected to the reservoir through a suction pipe (21). Provided on a side surface of the vacuum pumping reservoir (2) is a pumped water surface indicating pipe (25), which has therein a float (28), of which upper and lower ends are opened to the vacuum pumping reservir (2), and on an outer periphery of which is provided detection means (26, 27) composed of photoelectric element sensors and corresponding to upper and lower limit levels (A, B) of the vacuum pumping reservoir (2) for detecting a position of the float (28). Outputs of the detection means (26, 27), respectively, are transferred to a control means (29) of the vacuum pump (1). Futher, a discharge pipe (23) provided therein with a check valve (24) connects a lower portion of the vacuum pumping reservoir (2) to the water reservoir (4), so that an on-off valve (43) for the water reservoir (4) is operated to permit water therein to be fed through a discharge pipe (42) to users.
