Abstract:
In order to prevent a discharge hole, through which air in a pump chamber is discharged during vacuum pumping of a fluid, from being blocked by flowing fluid or the fluid from being suctioned and enable an operation to be stably implemented in a vacuum self-priming pump for suctioning the air inside the pump chamber and forming a vacuum state and then pumping the fluid, the present invention relates to a vacuum self-priming pump comprising: a motor; a body that has a pump chamber formed as a space portion of a certain size and that has a built-in impeller which is connected to a rotation shaft of the motor and rotates to suction fluid from an entrance and discharge same through an outlet; an air discharging tube communicating with the pump chamber of the body and having air from the pump chamber flowing therethrough; vacuum means communicating with an end portion of the air discharging tube, and discharging air in the pump chamber to the outside; and air blocking means installed between the end portion of the air discharging tube and the pump chamber, for opening and closing the inside of the air discharging tube. The present invention provides a vacuum self-priming pump in which: the air blocking means comprises a tube body connected to the air discharging tube and having an inlet connected to an entrance of the pump chamber and a discharging hole through which air is discharged, a float configured to move up and down by means of buoyancy imparted by a fluid inside the tube body, and an opening and closing member for opening and closing the end portion of the air discharging tube according to the rising and falling of the float; and covering means provided on the upper portion of the float to prevent splashing and suctioning of fluid in the direction toward the discharging hole of the tube body and closing of the discharging hole.
