Abstract:
This valve device is provided with: a body (10) defining a passage (11) through which fluid flows; a valve shaft (20) supported by the body so that the valve shaft (20) can pivot; a butterfly valve (30) affixed to the valve shaft so as to open and close the passage; and a drive unit (60) for imparting a rotational drive force to the valve shaft. The body has a protrusion (17) formed integrally with the body so as to protrude from the outer wall (10a) thereof, and the drive unit (60) is affixed to the body (10) through the protrusion (17). As a result of this configuration, the influence of the heat of a high-temperature fluid can be suppressed or prevented, and opening and closing operation can be performed with high accuracy.
