Abstract:
A valve device 100 comprises: a casing 1 in which a through-hole 18 coaxial with a prescribed axis X is formed and through which a fluid flows; an operating part 6 that extends coaxially with the axis X and penetrates the through-hole 18; a ring-shaped gland packing 64 that is disposed in the through hole 18 and provides a seal between the through-hole 18 and the operating part 6; and a packing gland 7 that is formed in a cylindrical shape, is inserted in the through hole 18 so that an upper-end section of the operating part 6, positioned outside the casing 1, passes through the inner peripheral side, and compresses the gland packing 64. Female threading 72a is formed in an inner peripheral surface of the packing gland 7 and male threading 62 that screws together with the female threading 72a is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the upper-end section of the operating part 6 so that the operating part 6 moves in the direction of the axis X by rotating around the axis X.
