Abstract:
Disclosed is a valve (12) for a hydraulic power steering mechanism, comprising a first valve element and a second valve element which are twistable relative to each other to a limited extent from a central position into one direction or the other so as to create steering assistance. One of the valve elements (20) can be twisted relative to an associated shaft (16) from a neutral position into one direction or the other while a coupling mechanism is provided, which limits the twisting movement of the valve element (20) relative to the shaft (16) and impinges the valve element (20) into the neutral position.
