Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a valve mechanism for suppressing fuel leakage in the seating region of a valve; and a fuel supply pump equipped with the same. To this end, provided is a valve mechanism comprising a seat surface in which a flow passage is closed by a valve body when the valve body is seated, and a spring for urging the valve body toward the seat surface, wherein the valve mechanism is configured so that when the direction that is parallel to the seat surface and that extends radially from the inner side of the valve body toward the outer side is defined as the flow direction, and the direction that is parallel to the seat surface and orthogonal to the flow direction is defined as the flow orthogonal direction, a first surface roughness in the flow direction on the sheet surface is greater than a second surface roughness in the flow orthogonal direction.
