Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a valve mechanism in which abrupt displacement of a valve in a direction intersecting the stroke axis, occurring when the valve opens and closes, is suppressed, and to provide a high-pressure fuel-supply pump having this valve mechanism. The valve mechanism according to the present invention includes a seat member having a seat surface, a valve that comes into contact with the seat surface, and a valve housing that accommodates the seat member and the valve. The valve housing is formed in such a shape that it suppresses displacement of the valve in a direction intersecting the direction in which the valve opens and closes.
