Abstract:
In order to provide a scroll compressor equipped with a valve plate with which an opening/closing operation can be carried out smoothly, this valve mechanism (V) for a scroll compressor, which operates on the basis of a difference in pressure between upstream pressure and downstream pressure of a working fluid, has: a valve plate (1) on the outer edge of which large circular arc sections (1b0) wherein the sides of a regular odd-gonal shape bulge outward and small circular arcs sections (1b1) which are located at the apexes of the regular odd-gonal shape are arranged; and a valve region part (2), which is a region through which the working fluid passes due to movement of the valve plate, the radius of the region being larger than the maximum distance from the face center of the valve plate to the end part of the valve plate in a plate thickness cross section through the face center.
