Abstract:
In the present invention, an ECU (90) is applied to a fuel injection system (10). The ECU (90) feedback-controls the discharge amount of a high-pressure pump (30) on the basis of a deviation between a target fuel pressure, which is a target value of the fuel pressure in a delivery pipe (60), and an actual fuel pressure detected by a pressure sensor (82). Further, the ECU (90) sets the target fuel pressure to a prescribed valve opening-time target value if it has been determined that the actual fuel pressure has risen to a valve opening pressure, and the ECU determines that a relief valve (80) is in an open state on the basis of the followability of the actual fuel pressure with respect to the set valve opening-time target value.
