Abstract:
A retard supply oil passageway (RRs) connects an operating oil supply source (OS) with a retard chamber (201) via an operating oil control unit (OC). An advance supply oil passageway (RAs) connects the operating oil supply source (OS) with an advance chamber (202) via the operating oil control unit (OC). Drain oil passageways (RRd, RAd) connect the retard chamber (201) and the advance chamber (202) with an oil discharge unit (OD). A retard supply check valve (71) is provided on the operating oil supply source (OS) side of the operating oil control unit (OC) in the retard supply oil passageway (RRs), and only permits the flow of operating oil from the operating oil supply source (OS) side to the retard chamber (201) side. An advance supply check valve (72) is provided on the operating oil supply source (OS) side of the operating oil control unit (OC) in the advance supply oil passageway (RAs), and only permits the flow of operating oil from the operating oil supply source (OS) side to the advance chamber (202) side.
