Abstract:
This valve timing control apparatus is provided with: a driving pulley 1 that has a cylindrical wall 5 to which a rotational force is transmitted from a crankshaft and a bottom wall 6 integrally formed at an end of the cylindrical wall in the shaft direction; a cylindrical housing 8 that is housed inside the driving pulley and of which an opening at one end is blocked by the bottom wall; and a vane rotor 9 that is housed inside the housing so as to be rotatable about each other and that is fixed to one end of a camshaft. The driving pulley has: an inclined guiding part 34 that is provided on an inner circumferential surface 5b of the cylindrical wall and of which the inner diameter gradually reduces from one end in the shaft direction toward the other end on the bottom wall side; and a fitting projection part 35 that is formed on the other end side of the guiding part and that is positioned when an outer peripheral surface of the housing is fitted therein. When assembling the housing on a driving rotor, assembling efficiency can be improved by performing the positioning easily with high precision.
