Abstract:
A valve timing control device (1) is equipped with a lock mechanism (30), which restricts the relative rotation of a vane rotor (20) with respect to a housing (10) by engagement of a lock plate (31) housed in a radially slidable manner in the housing (10) with an engagement groove (32) of the vane rotor (20) under the biasing force exerted by a spring (33). A plurality of through holes (35) are provided opening in side surfaces in the circumferential direction of the lock plate (31).
